I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and attended and graduated from Liberty Public Schools. This is also where I met my husband, David, in the 4th grade! We currently live in Liberty with our two sons and nephew.
I attended Northwest Missouri State University where I majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and earned certification in Early Childhood Special Education. Upon graduation I taught Early Childhood Special Eduacation for 10 years. I loved my job but was ready for a new adventure. I have taught Kindergarten for the last 10 years and I LOVE IT!
I received a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis on integrating creative arts in learning, from Lesley University in 2003. In July of 2008, I completed a Master of Educational Technology degree through Mid-America Nazarene University.
I enjoy watching my children's sporting events, camping and church activities including singing in the praise band.
